          Dear Future Me,

     I’m sure you’ve grown up a lot since the message. I’m sure… that you’ve finally found someone to fill that void. You know the one we’ve had for years. The situation with mom might come easier off your lips than before, books have to still be our main priority. Dad probably doesn’t give a second glance. Hey, have we made it to our Master’s and Doctorate degree yet? I’m sure that’s something to smile about. You have to promise me that no matter what, you’re going to be able to move on, you know? I’m tired of thinking that there’s nothing out there for me. Remember that girl that we helped, the really sick little girl? I remember her telling us that we’re going to do great things. As of now I don’t see that happening, but you… you have the potential now. I just… I don’t understand why I’m not as strong as you yet. It pains me that I sit around and read, just to escape the realities of my world. I hope you’re not like that. Smile for me, okay? No more hiding, no more getting in trouble. We’re getting older and it’s about time to let go of the past and just move on. Mom would be proud of where we are, right? Dad should be too. Say hi to your love for me, since… I don’t know them yet. I hope you’re treating them the right way and vice versa.
